Doing a little better and patting myself on the back for a small victory

September 3rd, 2014 at 06:44 pm

Well I am doing better. I cut down on side jobs a bit because it was too much. Hubby and I started a meal plan and I am toying with joining Gym Pact after we return from our planned vacation. I'm also considering doing things outside the house get a much needed change of scenery.

Things will be fine. The money bought me time and I'm still adjusting.

I was happy note that it's been almost a year since I paid off the credit cards and stopped paying interest on revolving balances. And if my side jobs keep going this way I'll be able pay off my smallest student loan sometime next year. And overall the principal balance has dropped below 17K which is nice.

I bought an ice cream machine and will probably get a pasta maker soon and I learned how make pizza at home which made me pretty happy. Smile All that should save us a ton in take out and I'm happy try all kinds of new neat desserts.

I have a ravioli maker, and while the pasta is delicious, it is a lot of work and I'm not sure it's worth it if you're doing it to save money! Pasta is so cheap to start with. But I love doing it. DH had bought me a bread machine a few years ago though, and making homemade pizza dough is my favorite thing to do with it - that will definitely save you money, and it's healthier and more delicious!

Oh no its so I don't want to eat out not to save money on Pasta. Smile I can make nice dinners in. Plus hobby hates going out to eat anyway so I can still get the food without paying out for it. I'm working on bread dough soon don't need a machine for that. I technically don't need an ice cream maker too but it was a little treat for me so I don't go to the store and spend 5 plus dollars on a treat. I'd rather make one up home and I can make it with alternative milk since cow's milk and heavy creams don't always agree with me.

GymPact (or just Pact) is a great little app and good motivator. I've made over $200 from it in the last 18 months or so.
